McAlister believes that one's first job is his most important. It is there where he learns to deal with others, be punctual, exercise responsibility and satisfy his employer. The minimum wage is a detriment to entry into one's first job experience and, McAlister believes, should be expunged. For the weakest skilled, the minimum wage is a ticket to permanent unemployment and welfare. DeWine and Celeste favor no change in the minimum wage law.
