McAlister knows that by delaying new drug introduction, the FDA is responsible for many more deaths than lives it has saved. If the FDA does any good, he says, then let's open the market to many private FDAs and with the increased abundance of information, let doctors decide which new drugs to prescribe. Celeste and DeWine would make no change in the FDA.
